I feel like this article is partially proving the opposite of its headline. The chart shows that interpreting images is still the activity that takes up the most time. If that can be done more accurately and faster by AI, it will at some level reduce the demand for radiologists. Each of them will have more free time and that adds up to a reduced amount of staff needed at many facilities. That said I can see a more effective version of radiology also increasing demand for it as a way to diagnose, which would add to demand for radiologists.
