Did I miss where an alternative was offered, or was it telling us to stop using one imperfect word, or without offering anything better?

I’ve found images like this[0] to be more helpful in visualizing what the spectrum is, rather than a single sliding scale. It seems like more of an education issue. I get tired of all these word changes. And if “profound autism” is what a room full of experts come up with… they can just stop.
