The absolute pathetic state of corruption in India

10•freakynit•4mo ago
This is why "Make in India" is still a joke.

You cannot create anything in this country without giving bribes and still being harasssed non-stop while living in an absolutely pathetic state of this country.

Life is a complete hell here. A complete hell.

India's biggest enemies are it's government employees. They are worse than terrorists. Terrosists come once, kill and go away. These people, they keep sucking the life out of the country and it's hard-working people every single moment.

India's biggest enemies are it's government employees.

Sorry, I have to disagree. Government employees are just an extension of the culture.

I've never been to India but I know from experience that corruption is deeply engrained in the culture and also the people.

I know this from working with Indian immigrants --- from what they tell me but also from how they operate.

Like you, these immigrants will complain and tell you that they left India because of the corruption. Yet one of the first things they will attempt to do is replicate it in their new environment.

freakynit•4mo ago
You have encountered a small minority carrying the absolute worst in them.

I have never once faced corruption in private enterprise space. Not once. And I have been working for over 15 years.

And, the same is the experience of my friends.

But with anything related to governmental business, corruption is 100% present everywhere. We know this because we face this every single time we have to deal with these pathetic disgusting people.

Lol.. you are reading what these judges say. Seriously, lol...

People of India are fed up with these judges. Recently an incident happened with a high court judge in India. He was caught with 50 crore INR worth of cash. You know what these judges did? Forget about jailing him, they just trnsferred it to a different court. He is still passing judgements there.

And remember, this was the case that became national news. Even then he got no punishment. Think about what goes on behind the scenes when they are not caught.

Indians have lost faith in all departments of governance. This is why I said: This country has become an absolute hell. An absolute living hell.

Our own leaders are the biggest parasites on this nation's progress and happiness of people. There is a reason why India ranks soooo low on happiness index. Inspite being 4th largest and fastest growing economy.

jqpabc123•4mo ago
Lol.. you are reading what these judges say. Seriously, lol...

These judges are basically agree with you. So you're laughing at yourself.

The only further point they have is my point --- that this is reflective of society as whole.

Disagreeable people will not be hired into the private sector, because either their bosses, their colleagues, their customers, or all of the above do not like them. However the public sector cannot deny them a job. And since negative behaviors go together, you'll find that these people are also corrupt.

This is the case for most countries.

jqpabc123•4mo ago
This is the case for most countries.

Most countries are not like India.

It is my understanding that corruption is virtually *mandatory* for government employees in India.

How/why? The actual pay for many of these jobs is below a "livable" wage.

Everyone including applicants fully understand this --- yet people still apply. Extortion and corruption is *expected* to make up the difference.
