The U.S. is excellent at producing multimillion-dollar weapons systems, but it hasn’t been as quick to adapt to low-cost, high-impact tools like $300 drones that can take out a tank or an attack helicopter. Ukraine benefits from some of the world’s best drone pilots and a rapid feedback loop that lets them refine tactics and hardware in hours rather than weeks. The West, by contrast, often moves more slowly because of layers of rules, regulations, and sign-offs.

That and the same reason every POS terminal offers you to tip nowadays, they profit on percent of their constructions. If you asked them to design a doorstop, it would be 5000 pounds and run on diesel.

Wow. I have to really hand it to them. This is likely why trump is now going hard on Russia. During the war they built up their drone tech and now can maybe use it as leverage for greater US support.
