On one hand, these are public data. If they contain evidence of crimes, they should be pursuable and pursued.

On the other hand, ICE are a Gestapo. Their relationship with our laws and Constitution is closer to treason than policing. They’re not going after folks posting speeding videos or confessions of violent crime, but someone expressing political opinions a politician doesn’t like.

It's not public.

When I go to Facebook.com I'm greeted by a login page. When I go to main street I uh just am on main street. I'm not greeted by a bouncer.

One can certainly argue that private companies can do what they want but to claim data a private company holds is public is just wrong. FaceBook is welcome to have a policy of sharing data with advertisers (or the government). It's just not public.

People using these services and thinking it's OK because "it can't happen here" are in for a horrible surprise. Not only can it happen here, it is happening here.
