It's quite scary how American media is being re-tooled into a support network for Israel. Television was already a heavily censored propaganda outlet for elderly people. Under Ellison I have no hope that it will get better.
DaveZale•4mo ago
television a propaganda network for the elderly?

where do _you_ live?

I don't see that at all in the US. Is it different somewhere? In our home is a Roku tv.. I don't use it much due to all of the ads pushed, but there is something for everyone.

sporkxrocket•4mo ago
Roku isn't considered TV, it's internet streaming. Traditional television networks are very much only viewed by the elderly:

DaveZale•4mo ago
Okay I get that. Although, it's a matter of definitions.

I use Roku with an antenna to get local television stations for weather, some of the PBS options (news and some great travel shows), and occasionally sports.

But your remark is very insightful with respect to differing opinions among age groups regarding certain global topics, which I cannot mention by name here due to censorship. The young in the US are certainly more aware of global opinions that diverge from those of the US that are promoted in the "elderly media" for example.

sporkxrocket•4mo ago
That's fair enough. I would definitely define CBS News (not local news from CBS affiliates) as very much having an elderly audience and being propaganda. This move to place Weiss isn't that out of place from that perspective.
