I like the CBC Lite format for news presentation. More sites should default to this so you only load the images/video that you are interested in seeing. Very nice.

The last time the blob persisted it led to sea Star and kelp death. And reduced salmon runs, and as a result stressed some of the orcas that ate those salmon typically. Also reduced the snowpack noticably.
Must be warm. From my east coast perspective Vancouver and the rest of the coast seemed very warm and mild in the early 90's.
It snowed once in Vancouver, but it didn't hit the ground, I layed on the sidewalk and watched as the snow flakes melted and vannished in the air just before they hit the ground, saw something similar in Murree up in the hills north of Islamibad.
Heatwave on the east coast as well.
