Show HN: Todout – a local-first todo outliner

https://downloads.vandragt.com/todout/
2•pacifika•2h ago
Todout is a local-first hierarchical todo outliner with powerful filtering, tagging, and keyboard-driven organization. I built it after using many outliners and task managements apps and needing a hybrid of both for tracking engineering tasks.

It works well on mobile, and hoping to get some feedback from folks that have relevant experience.

This is an MVP, but thinking of an upsell, I'm considering adding an low cost account system?

Key Features:

Hierarchical tasks with unlimited nesting and collapsible structure.

Inline #tags, priority (!) levels, and due dates (YYYY-MM-DD or YYYY/MM/DD) auto-detected.

Powerful filtering by tag, priority, and date range; full-text search; focus mode.

Keyboard-first: Alt+N new task, Tab/Shift+Tab indent, Ctrl/Cmd+Z undo, etc.

Status tracking (active/completed/archived), bulk operations, full undo/redo.

Local-first: all data stored in browser, no server, instant performance, full privacy.

Fast, local, and distraction-free—like a modern outliner built for productivity rather than project management overhead.

I'm looking forward to your responses.
