It seems Nintendo's security efforts were invested in anti-customer lockdowns in the Switch 2 rather than protecting their own company data. Maybe they should switch priorities.

5 years after the 2020 Nintendo account system breach, they have no excuse for weak security.

Companies love to mothball things like the 3DS online multiplayer system (free) saying it is for security, but then after making 3DS useless they make it very hard to enjoy a Switch system without paying for the new online multiplayer system. What a wonderful world!
