This is so appalling.

This is a great example of why the death sentence should be banned everywhere. Because the justice system is not perfect and there will always be people who this happens to. But once someone is executed, you can never make up for the mistake.

And it is a great example of why prison should not be punishment, but serve rehabilitation. Because it will punish also people mistakenly put into prison, and at least they should be able to live a decent life.

And while a punishment system is much more likely to produce released criminals that commit more crimes, rehabilitation statistically shows that people coming out of prison will integrate into society and lead a happier and more peaceful life.

Wild. 43 years from a Brady violation then locked by ICE where you dont even get the luxury of due process at all.
UncleMeat•3mo ago
IMO, people involved in the wrongful imprisonment should be tried and punished liked they committed murder. It is fucking insane that the Supreme Court has made it basically impossible for the cops and DAs involved to see any punishment (civil or criminal) whatsoever even when they deliberately try people that they know are innocent.

Extra repulsive to then decide to deport this person immediately upon release. Just no regard for human life.
