Ask HN: Where have the older questions on Ask HN gone?

2•varlock•3mo ago
Though I am not a religious reader of the main HN page, I love to follow up on the questions in the Ask HN section.

I am almost certain that in the not so distant past there were more questions under this section, and you could even go back and read older entries, too.

Am I dreaming up stuff or has something changed in the last few months?

I don't know if the /ask page has changed or not, but there's also /asknew which does have a "More" link https://news.ycombinator.com/asknew
varlock•3mo ago
I guess that's probably where all the questions are, thank you. I admit I've never even notice its existence!
brudgers•3mo ago
I noticed it too.

My pure speculation is that it is an editorial decision.

Because the bottom of the ASK page doesn't add much value to anyone and it is mostly an attractive nuisance for spammers, trolls, etc. there's no point in always having 30 questions. Just having good questions is better.

But that's pure speculation and I am probably wrong.
