I came up with the idea because I've been using Asana for a compliance project, and I needed tasks to be kept forever. Surprisingly, Asana doesn't have a way to prevent task deletion, nor an easy way to export the full content of tasks to keep them long-term in a safe place. I have been working on it on the side for a while now, and I'd like to share it with you.
At the moment, the tool can export tasks to PDF and save them to an S3 bucket, including attachments. If it gets traction, I'm planning to support more formats and storage locations. For example, I provide the storage to get started easily, and allow users to connect their own S3 bucket, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. if they want to.
If you have an Asana account, you can try it: photocopi.es and please let me know what you think!
