In asking this question it seems it would be important to consider the true cost of replacing juniors with AI. What I mean is this: So far none of the big AI providers are turning a profit. There is also talk of greatly increasing the number of AI data centers, and of course the electricity required to power them. Leaving aside the environmental costs, and the fact that today's juniors are tomorrow's seniors, what is the cost of all this? If all the AI adopters were to pay for the actual cost of AI, would juniors be cheaper?
