Is 2C by 2050 twice as bad as 2C by 2100, or is it worse? How "off the chart" are we w.r.t the worst of the worst predictions made by IPCC in their latest reports?
It seems to me that nowhere in any prediction did anyone say that we would get as bad an outcome as soon as this.

I don't know but news like this keeps trickling out.
This feels like when I read that the earth had already passed 1.5 degrees warming (the Paris agreement goal to limit cooling by), we just haven't had it as a 10 year average yet.
