Everyone starts off using AI as a search engine. Afterall it can google it faster than you ever can.
Then once in a while you might have a coding problem that would ask stackoverflow, but now AI. You get ideas and it speeds you up.
You go further, you copy your code and say that its not working as expected. it gives you the code right back fixed.
Agentic is only making the copy and paste done for you. Infact it goes further by having access to all the project. it can go to all kinds of files and figure out issues that are hard to copy and paste. Often find the root cause of the problem.

Every other time I've interacted with AI as a user I've been unimpressed with the results, I've programmed for nearly 40 years without AI so I can give it a year or two to see what's still standing and then adopt that then.
Life is too short to jump on every bandwagon that drives past.
Also I don't like delegating my thinking to a machine that can't think - that feels like weaponised learned helplessness or DunningKrugerAsAService so something would have to be very obviously very good so good that I wouldn't be able to avoid seeing how good it is - I'll look at it then.
