A Curiosity Test for Finding the Right People for Your Community

The problem with building a community is having people with similar mindset show up. For our community, we're looking for product builders who are curious about new ways in building products.

But how do you test people for curiosity?

We built a website that is seemingly broken but the invitation is in the code.

How this works is that I would invite ppl through social and I'll send them this invitation link. If the first reaction is "whatever, its broken" and they close the window, then they might not be a good fit. If their reaction is, something is broken, I'll check out the code, then those are the people who will get the invite.

I’ve been running this for the last few months with roughly 10ish ppl showing up to each session.

If you’re building a community, this might be a fun way to get the right people to come out
