Biotech, though, remains mostly confined to labs and institutions. Even simple experimentation with cells, genes, or tissues demands controlled environments, certifications, and expensive equipment.
Do you see that ever changing? Is there a future where biology becomes as hackable and open as code or circuits? Where individuals are able to safely experiment, learn, and build biological systems from a small setup at home? Or will the inherent complexity and regulation of living matter keep biotech permanently out of the "maker" domain? Thoughts?
