The idea: groups of 4 race down custom lines with AR displays showing mini-maps, waypoints, live positions, and trick multipliers.
Inspired by Anduril's Eagle Eye release, but for sports we actually play. Think Strava meets Mario Kart on real slopes.
Technical challenges I'm working through:
Low-latency multiplayer on mountains (spotty connectivity)
Wide FOV display integration into helmet form factor
Motion detection for tricks (distinguishing backflips from bad falls)
Safety systems (speed governors, designated zones)
Just moved to SF and looking to build a working prototype this winter. Tahoe is 3 hours away for testing.
