The validity of someone's prior statements weigh heavily on the perceived validity of their future statements, no matter who they are. Wouldn't you agree? I'm neither attacking nor criticizing this guy, simply making factual statements about where his ideas are coming from.

Shellenberger is more of a PR/grifter person than a scientist. Presumably if he was a scientist he’d have read this and other papers that somewhat convincingly indicate that, well, he’s spewing nonsense.
