I love clickbait behind a paywall. “Here is the most important news everyone on earth needs to KNOW about a scam the world has spent trillions on in the past 30 years!!!!!!!!

Heads up, this guy doesn't believe in global warming and regularly criticizes "wokeism" and critical race theory on his Twitter

The validity of someone's prior statements weigh heavily on the perceived validity of their future statements, no matter who they are. Wouldn't you agree? I'm neither attacking nor criticizing this guy, simply making factual statements about where his ideas are coming from.
bilsbie•3mo ago
Better to evaluate the arguments. But if you have limited time or resources I do agree it’s a heuristic for allocating your attention. I just dont think it’s an a reason to shut down debate.

Shellenberger is a grifter. You can just read the paper https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/15230430.2022.2...

Shellenberger is more of a PR/grifter person than a scientist. Presumably if he was a scientist he’d have read this and other papers that somewhat convincingly indicate that, well, he’s spewing nonsense.
