Musk is the poster-child for hyperbolic promises, with his colonizing Mars insanity keeping buzz going for years whereas the most basic analysis of the idea reveals it is ludicrous empty posturing supported by rocket stunts.
There's a bigger weirder aspect of this hyperbole: Not only is fantasy promoted as real, but now--especially wrt politics and policy--the real is neglected as if it were fantasy.
