Ask HN: I feel Twitter's algorithm just changed. Is there any way to confirm it?

It did, they announced a few weeks ago that they were getting rid of their existing heuristics and handing everything over to their in-house AI. I haven't noticed much change myself, because I stay locked to the 'Following' tab rather than the 'For you' tab where the platform decides what to show you.
rcpt•3mo ago
Right but I'm wondering if there are any public metrics that people track.

Years ago when they had an API there were all kinds of random trackers but nowadays I don't know

anigbrowl•3mo ago
Oh, not that I'm aware of. They still have an API but after Musk took over he put it behind a $60k/year paywall, which crippled most academic and independent research on things like echo chambers etc.
