Because it seems like maybe they did? They’re doing fine without us (their foreign exports are holding strong), we alienated our allies, they stopped buying soy beans from us entirely. Just turned off the tap. American farmers are hurting, not just here but from loss of foreign exports everywhere. Canada stopped buying our liquor. Let’s not even talk about Europe. Prices are up while the job market stagnates.
