Fuck Linux is a new Linux distro, intentionally designed to provide the worst user experience possible. it is based on Ubuntu 24.04, and the ISO alone takes 16 GB.

it has one single release. it comes with LXQt on Wayland apparently, uses swaybg for wallpaper, PCManFM-QT file explorer; ships with all Java runtimes for no reason, has SDKs for every single popular language. it comes with Edge as the default browser, as well as Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Vivaldi and Zen browsers.

it's developed by the #1 Linux hater (no u/basedchad21, you're not the #1 Linux hater anymore). it has a quite annoying user interface. it also jumpscares you with a job application form if you type vi, vim, nvim, neofetch or fastfetch. shutdown has a 50% chance of rebooting. it mimics the windows filesystem (/c/Users/user/Downloads). and quite more annoying effects.

Thanks for the summary.

This:

> shutdown has a 50% chance of rebooting.

…gave me a good laugh.

Bravo. A true expression of emotion and preference.

Ironically, this is enabled by the "open" nature of Linux. A similar spin on Windows or MacOS, each of which has equally vociferous haters, isn't possible. This is perhaps a manifestation of the Paradox of Tolerance.
