We got 800 users on launch day and still made 0 sales

1•ddoemonn•3mo ago
We launched createmybanner.com on Product Hunt a few months ago and finished the day in the top 10, got tons of love, and around 800 users signed up in 24 hours.

Sounds great, right? Except… we made zero sales.

Our freemium plan was way too generous, so everyone just stayed free. People loved the product but had no reason to pay. Classic rookie mistake.

We basically built something people wanted but just not badly enough to pull out their wallets.

Now we’re reworking pricing and trying to find that sweet spot between free value and actual revenue.

Anyone else been through this kind of “successful failure”?
