Ask HN: What genuinely useful thing have you built with generative AI?

5•AHorihuela•3mo ago
Curious about concrete, shipped projects rather than demos or playgrounds: what did you build, who uses it, and what surprised you about building/launching it?

I built an iOS App with claude code. I really don't know any swift myself. The app is a couple of small musical games (it's called music mini games). I've got _very few_ users.

What surprised me most is that, now more ever, distribution really is king. An app I released in the same space !11 years ago! gets more daily downloads. I expect these trends to accelerate with the amount of software being shipped with AI.

"If you build it, they will come" has never been less true.

I do really believe in product led marketing, though. I'm not yet fully convinced my app is good enough to get tons of word of mouth referrals. Hopefully one day.

If you're still here, here's the app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/music-mini-games/id6752395649
