For the past year, my team and I have been building PACR (pronounced pacer), an all-in-one academic ecosystem and professional social network designed specifically for academicians.
We are a team of 18 people working part-time on this, driven by a shared feeling that the world of academia lacks a true sense of community. Researchers often work in silos, and in a time where the future of science and research feels increasingly uncertain, we wanted to build a space where academics can feel welcome, connected, and supported.
PACR combines tools to share research, discover papers, connect with others, and discuss ideas, all in one place. We are planning to launch in mid-November, but for now, we have opened up a waitlist for early users.
