Ask HN: Ultrawide monitors, yay or nay? If yay, what brand?

1•embedding-shape•3mo ago
I've been eyeing upgrading my monitor(s) from two regular 4k 60hz monitors, one vertical and one horizontal, to one large ultrawide with also higher refresh rate.

For the people who've made the move, was it worth it in the end? What brand/model did you end up going with, and what are the current pros/cons of the one you ended up?

I mostly do programming, but also game development, video editing, and various activities linked to those (3D modeling, VFX, etc) and starting to feel annoyed about having two separate monitors instead of one huge one.

No, I switched back to a single, large 4k

Def don't get a curved monitor, it's weird for your brain and vision
