Any topic even tangentially political seems to get a ton of activist posts.

That's cool and all, but it would be nice to have the option to mute certain accounts. It would probably reduce the number of 'political disagree' downvotes too.

Love to hear any other ideas

I have considered making an extension to do something like that. One initial idea was to have two markers (e.g. colour the username differently), for people you don’t want to read from and people you do (e.g. some user who often makes insightful comments).

Though I do think that might have positive effects individually, I worry it may have negative effects globally in discussions.
