- Either one believes that AI can replace themselves, in which case probably they would rather not make it known because they risk their job.
- Or one believes that AI can replace someone else, in which case it probably shows that they don't really understand those other jobs.
I don't know how constructive any conversation can be around that. It's either "I won't talk about it because I risk my job" or "you don't know because it's not your job" :-).
All those executives speculating about how many people they can lay off are doing just that: speculating. And I hope they lose their job based on speculations, that would be deserved.
