I just wanted independent temperature control for each room — a simple home project. But after a few iterations of YAML automations and manual file uploads to my Home Assistant, I realized I needed better tooling.

So I built a workflow that connects *Cursor IDE* directly to *Home Assistant* using an MCP integration and an on-board Agent. Now I can write, deploy, and version automations right from the IDE — no SSH, no web UI.
