Great exercise to learn but like all Whatsapp or TikTok apps, they are not E2EE. That is known and they don't hide it. People just need to know that.

Well, the X engineering team literally says it is E2EE (https://x.com/XEng/status/1971739456857145574). Just to be clear, I'm talking about the new X Chat feature, not the original DMs.

"People just need to know that." was one of the reasons why I wrote the article, so I can reference it when people claim how super secure it is:)

Like, it's good that somebody investigated, but I don't think anyone should be very surprised here.
