This is coming from the best altruistic place, but it is still naive and reeking of dystopia. I am not sure that giving homeless people tools to get into more addictive smartphone-mediated behaviors is indeed a good idea.
What about investing the same money and effort into a more community based support?
I understand all the positive arguments for this initiative, and yet it still feels like the final outcome will inevitably be OLPC/Negroponte levels of bad.
