I admit I avoided a lot of reading in high school in the 70's by buying Cliffs Notes instead, because I was young and dumb and lazy. I hope adult professionals can see how much worse it is to use LLMs to try and do their work for them, but I understand the temptation. Imagine how hard it would be to catch their shortcuts if hallucinations didn't happen.
