I'm fully expecting someone to make this memecoin if it hasn't been made already, and for it to ironically be worth something.

brainrot has no meaning

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/6-7_(meme)

NaomiLehman•2mo ago
it evolved to have more meanings this month. My impression: if someone asks you a question that can be answered with a number like: how much money are you making, how many subscribers do you have, how many hours are you working - instead of "fuck off," you can say 6-7. I've seen it used in real life in this context.
CalChris•2mo ago
It's a zism. Some speculate 6*7=42.
Retr0id•2mo ago
If zism refers to gen-z that's wrong, it's mostly a gen alpha thing.

Since it didn't gain traction the first time round, I'll just leave this here:

I might be too middle aged to understand. Is this a joke? It's absurd. How did this get funded?
nradov•2mo ago
Maybe I shouldn't explain the joke, but this is presumably a riff on YC funding the "brainrot" Chad IDE. I guess they're all trolling us now?

raincole•2mo ago
It's the type of joke that wasn't that funny the first time, and progressively gets less funny each time.
strangattractor•2mo ago
More of a dig at a16z (Andreesen Horowitz) and the BrainRot industries (Crypto, Gambling, Social Media...) they and other VC's are hell bent on funding.

Italian brainrot[1]

dvrp•2mo ago
This got to the top of HN in minutes and then got removed. Probably to stop drama. I think it’s okay to laugh at these types of sites and jokes, but I get it when venture and HN get intertwined, it can get thorny.
jerome-jh•2mo ago
It is striking to read this and two links above the article about so-called Bitcoin's biggest secret.
