I built a small side-project: a mobile app where you can swipe through interesting quotes.

I’m trying to understand whether this idea is useful and what I should improve next.

No, because there is nothing special about quotes versus any other kind of text that would require the use of a separate app. If you want to swipe through memorable stuff use something like Anki.
