One thing a lot of people fail to learn early (if at all) is to have a work-life balance. It's all well and good to train to win 61 duels, but then what? At some point, the process will lose its allure and if you've never cultivated some sense of self outside dueling you'll be lost. And progress through the world is easier if you have help.

Life is a balance. When you must work, work hard and well. When you do not need to work, cultivate yourself, your relations, and what you feel on the wind or see out the window. And just don't go through life being an asshole - help others as someday you'll need help.
