People have tried (pretended) to talk to dead people as long as people have been around. They've used every tech and tool that was ever invented.

Many people claim that they hear or talk to dead people on the regular, know how they think or would act, etc., and some of them get donations (or charge money) for saying that.

So for me, this must go in that bucket. If you are interested in talking to dead people at all, that feels unscientific and unhelpful.
