It’s like trying to pray the gay away (you can’t), nature is only controllable to an extent. If your ideology requires relatively more energy to adhere to than not adhering to it, then guess what happens? Groups of people will always prefer a low energy and less resistant path, unless they’re part of political fringes which necessitate staying the course due to some existential crisis.
