Prediction Markets Showing Significant Revenue Growth in 2025

1•prophex•1h ago
Recent 2025 estimates indicate substantial growth in prediction market revenue: - Polymarket: ~160M - Kalshi: ~150M

On-chain platforms remain small in comparison. Limitless generated ~200K YTD. This suggests that the category has meaningful demand, with traditional platforms scaling faster than decentralized ones so far.

The open question: Will decentralized prediction markets achieve similar traction, or will regulatory clarity determine the growth curve?

Has anyone stopped to ask if this is good?

There is already a significant gambling problem in society

1. sports betting (should never have been put in people's pockets, keep it at the casino)

2. cryptos (effectively)

3. a segment in the trad stock market (re: wallstreetbets)

The growth curve is determined by how many gambling addicts they can tap into and take away from non-prediction market outlets
