I used to participate in a few contests ages ago, and it was a lot of fun; Certainly a lot of HNers would enjoy it as well. With plenty of time to try many different ideas, I much prefer this format over the ICFP contest for this reason.

There have been very few challenges from Al in the recent years, so maybe some HNers may also be surprised that it's still a thing in 2025.

Obviously, many HNers might want their best AI on the problem as well (this is explicitely allowed).
