Whatever part of people’s brain that makes them vulnerable to gambling, I am so lucky that mine does not work that way. Imagine having 80k in the bank, 1BTC, seeing its value increase to $120k - then drop back down to $80k. If you had taken it out earlier you would have made $40k - since you waited, you lost $40k. I don’t know about others, but $40k is enough to completely wipe all my existing debt (aside from my mortgage - though the full $120k would nearly get me there at this point)
If you stay in the game you may make more - or you may lose more. There’s no way to tell which it’s going to be, there’s nothing you can do to impact the cost, the only decision you make is whether to continue to risk losing everything.
