Every model (either local or cloud hosted) has a so called information cutoff date which basically is the date for which they have information stored internally. Outside of that date range they need a MCP service able to search and/or browse the World Wide Web to retrieve requested/required information.
If they cannot access the information on the web for whatever reason (including Anubis and friends) this happens.
You can let them know their information cutoff date by simply politely asking them what their information cutoff date is. Do note however that some models, the model behind Copilot comes to mind, require some hard... convincing before they want to tell you. (I believe it was end of 2024 for Copilot when I asked)
