There is also a group of people that primarily wants to worship artists and consumes everything that has been “created” by these artists (or rather, the many people who work for them), regardless of whether they actually like it or not; the music could also be generated by a computer and attributed to the artists, and people would hardly notice (there are also scientific studies that show that hardly anyone can distinguish between music generated by humans and computers); for them, famous artists are primarily important because they make the music they want to listen to (not because of their hairstyles or status).
