I’ve been working on a small project that started after my grandma showed me some old black and white photos of my grandpa over Thanksgiving. I already had an older AI project with most of the pieces built, so I reworked it into a simple web app that colorizes old photos.

It’s not a commercial product in any serious sense. I cleaned it up enough to make it usable, and it’s now a small SaaS with accounts, Firebase on the backend, and Stripe for credits. The processing is pretty fast and works reasonably well on most scans.

Would be glad to hear about any issues you run into or ideas for where the model or pipeline could be improved as I keep working on it.
