Problem 2. Slothsurf may be a joke product made as a journalism project, but people really do stuff like this and I think they miss out on this fact: Slothsurf is a pre-pivot idea. It's too stupid to have any value in the real world, but if you really try to build it yourself you may, during the process, discover how to build something that is worth building that nobody else has built. Not if you truly view Slothsurf as the target to the extent that you would never pivot, of course. With all AI employees there would be no point to pivoting because you never learned anything or created any kind of expertise or insight that would carry you through a successful pivot. You'd just start over from scratch. Back to square 1. But the good news is that you never really left square one anyway ; )

If the money holders no longer need plebs for anything because AIs can do it all, what role do the plebs play? Why give them any of the money, and therefore what value has money?
Are they reduced to say gladiators and pornstars, observed for entertainment by the AI-owning class, in exchange for enough food to live

There's only 1 billionaire for every what, 10M people, 100M ? They are outnumbered. At some point the underclass may band together and kick off a revolution to overthrow the ruling class.
Kings have gotten their heads chopped off when the people had enough.
I can see a version of history where the end of capitalism was AI and the AI-owning class with their robots and capital essentially dispose of the majority of the society. Society decides this system is screwed and decides to overthrow capitalism and we invent a new system.
After all, at some point, smart people came up with capitalism to solve the previous system's problems. We may not go to socialism but invent something new entirely to address the flaws of late stage capitalism.
