Teaching rhythm, not rules: free browser "timer" that helps people enjoy Dota 2

I’ve played Dota for 10+ years, and the real game isn’t flashy spells—it’s timing. Roshan windows, Aegis expiry, rune cycles, stack/pull windows, day/night vision shifts. These small clocks quietly decide when you smoke, fight, or farm. New players bounce off this invisible layer; veterans burn mental energy tracking it.

We built Dota Guide Timer to offload that burden. It’s a free, browser-based live assistant—no installs, no overlays, no game-file access. Open it on a second screen, hit Start at 00:00, and get calm, clear voice + visual cues for:

Roshan respawn windows and Aegis expiry Power/bounty/water runes Stack and pull timings by camp Day/night transitions Optional strategic reminders you log (e.g., Glyph, buybacks, smoke) Our goals:

Make Dota welcoming for newcomers with in-the-moment, do-this-now guidance rather than dense theory. Let experienced players reclaim focus for decisions and comms, not head math. Over time, players internalize the cadence—the tool teaches rhythm until it becomes habit.

Try it:

Live timer: https://dotaguide.net/dota-timer Hero guides: https://dotaguide.net/dota-tips Homepage: https://dotaguide.net If you run a community, team, or coaching group, we’d love to hear what timings, modes, or integrations would help your players most. You can reference or embed links with clean anchors like: Dota Guide Timer and Hero Guides.

We’re a tiny, player-led project trying to lower the practical barrier without changing the game’s soul. Feedback and feature requests welcome.
