My big concern is not crazy robots on a humanoid platform…it’s a purpose-built drone swarm.
Society is not built for the threat of someone who can open the trunk of a car and release
dozens of autonomous drones each capable of flying over a mile and delivering weapons to a target.
We as tech-oriented people need to start thinking about how to respond to and defend against autonomous weaponized drones now.
[edit:] I understand that Gemini was basically trying to be funny, and I appreciate that it was doing a good job at that. I think when we ask LLM’s to make real predictions, in seriousness, about the future, it’s remarkably bad.
