Autohotkey appears to be better than this and is also free.

I made this because many people have requested an AHK alternative with something like Lua.
Also, this ports the entire Windows API to Lua, so it's not limited to just the convenience APIs.
The website is not good at explaining this, I admit. I'll work on the website and then resubmit this at a later date.
And yes, it's paid, but I spent about a thousand hours making it, and I think it's fair to be compensated for that somehow. Maybe after enough licenses are sold to pay for my time, I will open source it.

I've used AHK extensively in the past hence my comment. One of the good things about AHK is their documentation. I don't know what "convenience" APIs means but wish you all the best.
