It's an interesting observation but it seems like a pretty weak argument if you generalize it. "Way more people consume X than create X, so the creators must be insane". It follows that painters must be insane because there are way more people who look at paintings than there are people who paint them.

The obvious explanation for the pattern is that making content takes more effort than consuming it, so naturally there are more people willing to consume than create.
