I built SetLocale because I was frustrated with the localization process for my own projects. Whenever I used standard translation tools, they would often break the file structure (invalid JSON) or translate variable placeholders (like turning "{name}" into localized words), which broke the build.
SetLocale is designed to parse and lock syntax before translation.
How it works: 1. It identifies the file type (JSON, PHP arrays, XML, ARB, YAML, PO). 2. It uses regex/parsing to lock variable placeholders (e.g., %s, :count, {name}) and HTML tags. 3. It uses LLMs for the initial translation, followed by a verification step.
There is no sign-up required, and it supports crypto payments for privacy.
I'd love to hear your feedback on the workflow and if there are other file formats you frequently struggle with.
